AUTOTREN recognized as a valid Mass Rapid Transit technology by WRI (formerly CTS-Embarq).

The Mass Transit Program (PROTRAM) of Mexico’s National Infrastructure Fund (FONADIN) contracted the World Resources Instituto (WRI) to evaluate the AUTOTREN as a mass rapid transit technology, which was validated by WRI, who recommends it as a high quality technology for urban public transport corridors.

The Mexican Transportation Institute Verified The AUTOTREN’s Technical Data Sheet.

A group of researchers and engineers from the Mexican Institute of Transportation (IMT) of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) carried out a series of tests and validations to verify the specifications of Modutram´s AUTOTREN, and found that 100% of the verified characteristics comply with the specifications of the AUTOTREN´s Technical Specifications. The City of San Jose issued a request for information to identify advanced technological solutions to achieve a mass rapid transit corridor at a lower investment cost, and hired the firm Kimley-Horn to evaluate the proposals it received.
